The End of the Rainbow

So I have been a bad, bad advocate for my two boys! As always, God is faithful and they are showing steady progress and I have hopes that they will make it to their goal by December 31! I haven’t been totally idle, as I have been maintaining our All Angels Giveaway, but still, no excuses. These treasures need me.

I do want to tell you a little more about Asher’s country as promised… BUT Andrea Roberts posted this on Facebook today and I just had to share!

The fate that awaits these children is so terrible if they are not adopted, but that isn’t enough of a reason for families to step forward. Rescuing is important, but its nothing without the love that these families bring.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. ~1st Corinthians 13

Families step forward because God laid these children on their hearts, because they LOVE. They simply love. They love these kiddos, they love to see them blossom! Its like uncovering a treasure each time they do something new.

The children have so much potential.

They have so much ABILITY!

How I love diversity Smile… wouldn’t life be so boring if God made us all the same?

Please take a minute to watch this video, and see just how beloved these precious treasures are! These are ones home now, resting safely in the arms of those who love them.

If you looked closely, maybe you saw Heath, who I loved and who is now HOME with his family!?!

Did you see dear Aaron, who I got to meet and I will share a picture of that later!?!

There is no telling what these kids will accomplish now!

Andrea Roberts believes, and I agree with her, that the ONLY thing standing between these children and the love of a family is the cost to bring them home. When I represented Reece’s Rainbow in October at our local Down Syndrome Buddy Walk (yes I need to blog on that too) so many people were interested, but they all get scared when the money came up… $20,000… $30,000… $40,000… those are big, intimidating numbers! The heart and the willingness is there for many families, what’s lacking is the finances.

Please help us remove those obstacles for Asher and Prince! Help their families come forward.

This Christmas, please help me give them the gift of a family!

Please donate to Prince HERE or Asher HERE or click on their pictures above or on the side of the blog!

If you donate $5, you will gain entry into our giveaway, with extra entries for each multiple of $5. See below for prizes and rules! ($5 = 1 entry, $25 = 5 entries, etc.)

If you donate $35, you get an ornament in honor of Prince, AND I will ship you a batch of either my REGIONALLY famous brownies or my INTERNATIONALLY famous chip-of-your choice (milk chocolate, semisweet, peanut butter, etc.) cookies… hint, hint my MOTHER taught me how to make them Smile.
